706562 2008-09-21 04:27:00 Of course siding with my comment or opposing it will achieve nothing here. Just make sure you get out and vote, if you're old enough. I don't really have a rational choice. Labour is in my blood. I was a member of the British National Union of Seamen at 16 - a trade unionist all my working life - but once, so p i s s e d off with both main parties that I actually voted for Bob Jones. How irrational can anyone get? I am surpised that it too C. so long to throw in his anticipated two-pennyworth - perhaps taking an afternoon nap? Scouse (83)
706563 2008-09-21 05:36:00 Now, of all times, right wing politics is the last thing the world needs.

The planet needs to be looked after and conserved, not relentlessly exploited.

The present financial crisis is partly the result of capitalism running amok, and the right wing doesn't have the philosophy required to reign in the excessive behaviour.

To rein in their behaviour may be beyond them though.

Yo Scouse... I did that too! Not a union man either. Just an old bloke with a very low opinion of politicians!

706568 2008-09-21 07:12:00 I very much doubt any are worth voting for........:waughh:

they get big wages, to talk rot and fly about the country doing nothing, and then sit in the round hole for a shore fire waste of time arguing between themselves.....and help NZ how? they bluff there way thro every thing, promise everything, and actually deliver not bloody much at all.

sigh

That is most likely true, but it is very important to vote for the one that will do the least damage . They are all trying their hardest to avoid that title at the moment .

706570 2008-09-21 08:44:00 I've been a labour voter for the last few elections, and I now think it's time for a more right-leaning party, but I'm really concerned about John Key and his band of merry miscreants - I really think he does have hidden agendas, and he's a little too populist for my liking. His stance on issues seems to flip-flop very easily.

If the election was tomorrow, it would be a lottery as to which way I'd cast my vote :waughh:
