| 827570 | 2009-11-06 03:26:00 | HI I've downloaded SP 1 for Office and the compatablity pack and I still cannot open *.docx files from work. I have restarted my computer. A little more info: I have a PC and a laptop at home and on my laptop downloading the SP1 and the campatability pack worked and I can open my work files; however, I did the same thing on my pc and the *.docx files just download as a zip and they will not open in word. I know there is something funny about the beta version, so I have tried opening exactlly the same file on my laptop it will open and on PC it won't. Only diff I know is home comp is running XP Pro and laptap is running XP Home. Can anyone help this is VERY fustrating! Thank you, Kris |

| 827574 | 2009-11-06 06:47:00 | Update it to SP3 I tried downloading SP3 for Office. Reloading the compatability plugin and then restarting and trying to open the *.docx file on my pc, (the same file will open on my laptop) but still no luck. More ideas???? |
