I still don't know how the hell I have 12.23Mbps download speed, I have registry cleaners, one download accelerator and internet optimizers but it would be unlikely if that were the cause. Downloading files is much quicker, even faster than the TelstraClear 10Mbit download, but fails to show an upload speed increase which is quite understandable, being ADSL2+ and all. www.speedtest.net |

| 708849 | 2008-10-08 20:42:00 | Reset my modem again this morning and it connected at 7616 down and 800 up - is that what Telecom consider unlimited? Tested the speed (using speedtest.net, which I read above is not recommended, so will try another tonight) and my download speed has risen from 4100kbps to 6700kbps but my upload speed has stayed exactly as it was at around 124kbps. Maybe I'm just not going to get a better upload speed. |

I'm glad though, 12.5Mbps down is a hell of a bargain. :) Reset my modem again this morning and it connected at 7616 down and 800 up - is that what Telecom consider unlimited? Your new speeds are fine, about right, but it mainly depends on your location and your modem, which I assume is the better: ADSL2 + |

| 708852 | 2008-10-09 08:10:00 | Wow, I was a bit slow on this news. They recently done some phone line work the road over and we're apparently now covered on the ADSL2+ front which is pretty awesome. | sal (67) | ||

(the 7616 figure is the giveaway) Sorry decibel - I was referring to the upload speed - I knew that 7.6mbps was the max down - I just wasn't sure what was considered max up, though i have a figure of 768kbps kicking around in my head ....... |
