you get screwed even if it doesn't get to court. even if you get financial assistance you are expected to pay it back !
just the threat of being charged and incurring legal fees is a threat the police like to employ.

The Sensible Sentencing Trust are going to pay his legal fees, like they did the sports shop owner.

Let's hope you don't. Advancing your own political agenda on a jury is just plain wrong.

You would, after all, be taking an oath as a juror:

"...solemnly, sincerely and truly declare and affirm that you will try the case before you to the best of your ability and give your verdict according to the evidence?"
