709081 2008-10-04 05:22:00 When I am at home I can switch betwee ADSL2+ How do you switch between the two? Is this with two different modems, one being ADSL2+ compliant? Jen (38)
709082 2008-10-04 08:05:00 Our suburb is not even on the list ..

Is it possible our exchange is 2 or 3km away? Cos that is the closest from that Excel spreadsheet.

Just change the modem (Linksys WAG 54GP2) settings, then take a coffee break while it coughs and wheezes through rebooting.
As far as I can notice there is not really any difference, but we are a few Km from the exchange. (Though I notice there are some shiny new cabinets about 250 m up the road.)
I hope some of the Nelson fraternity have great boosts though.

There is no point in changing settings, just leave it on multimode and it will pick up what ever is available on your line.

Yeah, the PN one has been upgraded.
I live over in Awapuni, and connect (I assume) to Maxwells Line exchange. I'm at the Maxwells Line end of Rugby street.

709089 2008-10-11 08:33:00 A piece in the local Nelson paper about it today. Saying 3 new cabinets were in place and about 700 customers had shifted over.

Interesting tonight that even though I'm not on any new cabinet and still on plain adsl. I'm downloading a movie torrent at a solid 760 kB/s! other downloads are also flying.

Perhap's those 700+ users were blocking the pipe :D
