| 708726 | 2008-09-30 03:46:00 | If you can, try before you buy. My daughter bought a cheap one at the local hardware store and it just was not hot enough. It was so slow as to be unusable; she took it back. She was only doing a single fairly large job so I made her a "blacksmith's equivalent". It consisted of a nail in a robust comfortable wooden handle. She heated the end of the nail in a hot flame. Although it cooled quickly it also heated quickly and she got the job done in no time at all. Her creation looks great. |
