708204 2008-09-27 11:06:00 A water blaster is all that is needed. No bleach required. Quick, cheap, easy.

I have cleaned all my paths (they were black, some with moss) and they look great! Don't need any expensive wet and forget, or 30 seconds. How hard can it be?:)

The Firth "Flagstone" range are coloured all the way through, and have a rougher surface.

Interesting.

Guess I have lived my entire life without coming across low-class paver's.

I tried 30 seconds and it didn't work very well at all and I didn't want high concentrations of the stuff. I would recommend a water blaster (as per Jen) and start out with not too much pressure.I thought that may be the case. I think a water blaster may be the answer. Cheers.

Water blasters are great but the effects aren't very long lasting as the pavers soon get grubby again .

My father used to water blast his concrete then used one of those 60 Seconds type of cleaners and he reckons his concrete stays cleaner for far longer .

Unfortunately I don't know exactly which product he used because I haven't had as good success with the ones I've used .

The trouble with water blasters can be that they roughen up concrete. That means that it will take less time to get back to the condition they are now in. You blast again and the surface roughens even more. The cycle gets shorter.

Suggest one of the spray products and be prepared to be patient. If you do not want to wait and chose waterblasting then do not give it "heaps", just enough to do the job.
