827092 2009-11-04 07:00:00 Hi Hope someone can help
Last year I purchased Microsoft Office Student 2007 and Quicken, I am now wanting to get a laptop with win7 . Will these progams install on a new puter and activate, off my installation discs, or do I have to get new software.

What are Toshiba laptops like?

Although the Office Student version may be licensed to run on up to 3 computers. It should say on the packaging if it is.

Toshiba's are good along with Asus.

827094 2009-11-04 09:46:00 Quickbooks does not work well/at all with Windows 7.
We have been informed by a lot of our Partners who also work with Quickbooks that they are getting very frustrated trying to make it work

That's what XP Mode is for
I am using Quickbooks 2006/2007 in it and works great.
A newer version of Quickbooks would probably work fine in Windows 7.

Apparently its the newer one that is designed for Vista that has the problems, but as I said 2nd hand.
