709746 2008-10-05 04:09:00 According to the latest mag you can get this for $180, having looked around I see it is more like $250 or slightly more. Not thinking of buying it might even give free NAS a go sometime in the future when I get round to building my server just wanted to see if anyone else noticed the price difference.

709747 2008-10-05 07:09:00 The October issue of Australian PC User magazins has a free "Home Server OS" on the cover DVD consisting of a cut-down version of Xubuntu with MythTV added in.
Haven't tried it yet, but intend too. Sounds good for $8.95

709749 2008-10-06 05:08:00 FreeNAS does the job of a file server quite nicely and was relatively easy to configure imo. stormdragon (6013)
