711260 2008-10-10 13:39:00 Setting fires and kicking tires, Paul Henry's here investigating the US, and especially the SoCal gangs and their influence in NZ as the street themes are growing as a South of the Equator .

"Monkey see; monkey do" is what it looks like as NZ gangs emulate their American counterparts, complete with hand signs, the walk, the clothings and tattoos .

He's preparing a documentary to show in NZ in the near future . He was last seen on Venice Beach in LA with his camera crew and sound people .

Even though "we have only one death or so a day" . . . and NZ cannot compete with the murder and shooting rates of a much larger city like LA, NZ is doing it's best trying to catch up with it's US counterparts .

I saw out local news shows interviewing him as he was taking in the sun on Muscle Beach and walking with his entourage, looking for gangs and hoods to interview . Hopefully he's not gonna get shot and needs a body bag to get back to NZ-TV .

711262 2008-10-11 00:40:00 And speaking of gangs I went to the bank today (still in business) and got followed for a long time by a banger . . . no, not sausages . . . but a gang-banger .

I figgered he wanted a follow-home robbery or a bump-and-rob type . He followed me for over 40 miles as I was looking for the usual cops on the corners and with their radar guns . . but they weren't to be found anyplace! I purposely stayed away from the house and didn't go near any friends . No cellphone in my car either!

Finally I think his gas tank was getting low and he broke off pursuit . . . but it was pretty dicey for a while on the mountain roads as I could outcorner him, but he had the ponies over me on the straightaways .

No plates . No id of any sort and he had tattoos, a nose ring and a backwards hat on .

Years earlier . . . yes . . . but not at my age and physical capacity any more .

I tried to get a pix of him . . . and I had all I could do to keep it between the lines and on the road whilst he was trying to run me off and into a deep canyon or so .

The age of lawlessness is upon us .

711267 2008-10-11 05:00:00 Paul Harvey knows..as do I..as should anyone looking around. It's getting bad out there.

There are lots oif people beging for food on the streets here in Hemet and San Jacinto.

Everything's for sale or being abandoned...houses, cars, boats, motorcycles.

Shops and stores are closing and going out of business sales are everywhere.

We have long lines at the existing banks...the 401K's are being taxed when they were extablished as a retirement fund that was not taxable if you waited until 65 to cash them in.

The unemployment rate (corrected for seasonality.....but is really computed as people who have been looking for work for more than 120 days and are no longer counted) is at 20% locally, somewhat more/less in other areas.

General Motors is going under as is Ford and Chrysler...so says Forbes and a lot of other financial publications.

The big transfusion of monies to float Wall Street are only 1/3rd of what they now want....on the back of the US middle-class taxpayers.

Yup...lawlessness is what's a-happening.
