| 829530 | 2009-11-12 05:28:00 | Any driver updates etc been installed ?? you can try system restore back a day or so and see if that makes any difference. Click start, type in restore , select System Restore - when it opens, select a restore point to when it was OK , or tick the box bottom left corner to show older points - follow instructions through. |

No new drivers or anything for that matter installed recently. ( Installed a 1.5tb WD hd today, but the sound corruption has been present since before. So I can't connect them.) The sound card has been detected on this reboot, but the sound was very distorted and corrupt. Could this be an overheating issue? |

| 829532 | 2009-11-12 05:41:00 | Did you install the drivers from the ASUS site or use windowsupdate? ASUS drivers (lately) have been crap. I installed them on this, but the sound was too low, I couldnt hear it. I used the drivers Win7 installed instead. If you installed the ASUS drivers, uninstall them or roll the drivers back | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||

Again it did not detect the sound card. |
