828891 2009-11-10 22:19:00 Upgrade to windows 7, and no sound. updated driver for Realtek AC 97 audio, but no result, microsoft gave assitance and advised gigabyte motherboard old, may be chase them for windows 7 driver. Any other solution would fitting a new sound card help Chasa (12267)

828893 2009-11-10 22:28:00 Did you try updating the driver through device manager?? That works sometimes, (when drivers dont exists for a version of windows). Altho, windows should install some driver for the sound and LAN (I'm using Win7's sound drivers here, since the ASUS ones (even tho theyre for Win7 are crap / you cant hear anything). Turn the volume up to 100% (and it sounds like you've only gone up to 20-30%). Is there anything else connected / installed that uses sound?? It may have to be changed to the right device, so you can get sound Speedy Gonzales (78)
