| 830161 | 2009-11-14 21:11:00 | Hi, I'm a newbee to forums ok. If anyone reads this, what is your take on the usefulness of classifieds being viewed as a video clip. I'm asking this as I am just launching a site specifically for this and was wondering what others thought of this form of delivery. Regards, Doug |

There are many avenues to approach online web site advertising, so as to get conversions or even visitors... I would do keyword research (e.g. the free Google keyword tool (adwords.google.com) to check product search no.s - local and world wide, and Google Insights (www.google.com) and Google Trends (www.google.com) for popular country search term segmentation) and do competition research (e.g. the popular Yahoo Site Explorer (http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/) to check back links to competitive sites to yours) to see if their is a market and what the completion is; you would be up against major players such as YouTube and Craiglist; and also many other USA classified sites. Being a affiliate advertiser myself on my sites, many advertisers that I sell for, generally sign up with well known USA advertisers (e.g. Link Share, Clickbank, Commission Junction, Chitika, etc), and some use video's in their promotion sites for affiliates and potential online buyers. This I think gives them more inroads to sell through a 3rd party (which are the above mentioned popular online advertisers), than to go alone, unless of course their products are already popular, or they pay someone for extensive search engine techniques (SEO) or adwords via Google for paid search listings. Perhaps sign up to Search Engine Land (searchengineland.com/), where you can read their archives, and get updates for optimization ideas for online advertising online business technigues, market tools, etc. Articles are written by people that own or advise for online advertising businesses, SEO companies, etc. |
