Great if your in an organisation that promotes training, not so good if training = "cost" and therefore your company avoids it. Doesn't help either when they import skills rather than training local staff :illogical I think you should talk to some recruitment agencies and see what skills are in demand at the moment (sure they will change over time), but at least it gives you some idea of what skills employers are looking for. Then focus on a getting a skill (or skills) in an area which hopefully you will enjoy but also employers will need skills of that sort. Microsoft skills are in demand (I should know, I spoke to a job agency today). |
