| 713434 | 2008-10-20 16:41:00 | A young filly needed to be freed from the tree after it wedged its head between separate sections of the trunk. There was no proof that the horse fell while trying to climb the tree. Picture (1.bp.blogspot.com) Jason Harschbarger, a neighbour in the town of Pullman, West Virginia, USA, arrived at the scene which resembled the image of Winnie the Pooh getting stuck in the honey tree. Mr Harschbarger collected his tools and was able to carefully set the horse free by using a chainsaw to slowly cut the wood around its neck. However, before he did so, he was able to take a few photographs. Fortunately for Gracie, she was able to escape her ordeal with only a few minor injuries and, according to Mr Harschbarger, is on the road to recovery. The horse will now be scheduled for a full psychiatric evaluation for the reasons and cause of her actions. Following his rescue operation, Mr Harschbarger told a local television station: "She has a few cuts on her face and ear. Last I heard her jaw was a little dislocated but I think it is healing up and she can eat on her own again." It remains unclear why Gracie put her head into the gap. The ASPCA was said it might be a case of animal cruelty as the horse definitely had "issues" and was seeking relief by trying commit suicide to get away from an obviously abusive owner. The "Tree People" were heard to indicate they were going to file charges against the horse, the horse's owner, the property owner, the chainsaw operator and the local police and The Animal Rights Group® for damage to the tree. "There were no permits ordered or received for this heinous crime against a living, breathing and user-friendly tree. It's just horrible!" one activist was heard to say. A local priest was heard to say that this tree climbing by a horse is not really proof of evolution and that suicide is a Cardinal Sin and is NOT allowed by the church. The tree, however would receive absolution for it's actions. GreenPeace is also considering legal action although there were no whales involved nor were any whales harmed in the rescue of the horse. |

| 713436 | 2008-10-21 03:00:00 | Is it April Fool's Day down there SJ? Oh, I forgot, everyday is April Fool's Day in Palin land... :) OK...I took CERTAIN creative license here...but the part about the horse and the tree is true...most of the other stuff was....er....embellished just a tad! Names were NOT changed to protect anyone alleged, nor were any alleged horses or alleged humans harmed in the alleged accident or subsequent alleged retrieval of said alleged horse. No alleged human or alleged animal rider was found at the alleged scene of the alleged incident nor was there any evidence alleged that there had been an alleged, might have been an alleged or could have been an alleged actual rider on the so-alleged proffered equine. This alleged event actually took place in the said alleged timeframe, in the said alleged State of West Virginia and the alleged chainsaw used a 32:1 fuel to oil ratio, allegedly. :waughh: PS: It's the drugs they give me........... allegedly :clap :banana  Where's that monkey with the cueball? |
