| 712687 | 2008-10-16 21:32:00 | Looking for a bass, will be mainly used for church (of all things) and playing lighter rock/jazz. Basically something nice and universal, that won't break the bank. A 'genuine imitation' seems like a good idea, eg Warwicks are normally made in Germany I think, but they have some models that are made in Japan, like the one in the following link. Still good quality, just not as good as the real deal. Want something with a nice round sound, and preferable active. Under $700. 2nd hand is fine. Realize that new it's going to be more $$$. Am looking at something like this Warwick Rockbass (www.trademe.co.nz), any opinions/suggestions? Would like an Ernie Ball with a nice soapbar pickup, but they are generally a little dear. |

| 712695 | 2008-10-18 03:21:00 | The heaviest amps in the business... well... that I've come across anyway. You go to pick up what you think is a practice amp, and realise that it's a fully blown valve amp... weighing more than I did the first time I tried. Sadly not the case anymore. |
