| 715613 | 2008-10-29 00:01:00 | I see a person is missing down south while working on a new Christchurch City ocean sewage outlet pipe. Good God, how can it still be allowed that sewage waste is still being pumped into the oceans around NZ in 2008. Does that not make the 100% Pure NZ advertisements a bunch of lies? | royaloaks (8205) | ||
| 715614 | 2008-10-29 00:05:00 | What do you expect to be done with it? And it's not exactly raw sewage either. | ubergeek85 (131) | ||
| 715615 | 2008-10-29 00:06:00 | It is "processed" first, and then pumped out to sea. NZ isn't clean and green at all - maybe green from algae. | somebody (208) | ||
| 715616 | 2008-10-29 00:19:00 | I've heard that the only reason that NZ is pure is because there are so few people living here. Per person, we're a lot worse than most of the rest of the world, waste-wise. |

I expect that that Christchurch would do what most councils do and treat it 100% and pump the waste water into dedicated pine tree forest areas. Too easy just pumping it into ocean and rivers. Thats why Tainui tribe in the Waikato have made a move to take charge and stop the pollution of the Waikato river. I say good luck to them. |

| 715619 | 2008-10-29 01:57:00 | It is not exactly sewage, it is just party political broadcasts. Which, for all intents and purposes, is a close enough resemblance not to make any difference. :D |

The councils you are talking about are ones that don't have an ocean to dump it into. |
