831222 2009-11-18 02:09:00 I have got a newsletter in .doc format and some of the pictures don't appear, instead it shows "quicktime and a decompressor are needed to see this picture". But it is only on SOME of the pictures on the document. How do I fix this up? xyz823 (13649)
831223 2009-11-18 02:14:00 Just found out that the newsletter was made on a mac. Would that be the problem? xyz823 (13649)

831228 2009-11-18 06:32:00 I smell a MAC V Windows " Discussion" coming on here :D

To quote a line or three in the linked article above

The truth is it is a bug in how Office for the Mac supported drag and drop and copy and paste. It used a Mac OS Specific way of embedding the image that Office for Windows can't understand. Even if you install QuickTime in Windows, Office for Windows still can't make sense of the image information. This bug was finally fixed with the Mac Office 2008 Service Pack 1 (12.1.0)

So obviously the MAC owner is not keeping upto date with software service packs ( naughty naughty) :p

Edited: This article (support.microsoft.com) from MS, under " cause" explains whats happened.
