830991 2009-11-17 05:33:00 Hi there

A sports group I look after wants a Forum on their website, but it has to contain a Moderator Control option, to stop Annon"" contributors slanging off officials and general mischievous behaviour.

We dont mind paying for this software, but it needs to be easy setup, installing etc.

Recommendation by personal experience welcome.

Many thanks

John in Mosgiel.

830994 2009-11-17 07:08:00 Hmm.... Does your webhost support PHP? (Probably a yes)

Have you got a MySQL database up and running yet?

I have used phpBB before - seems to do the trick.

830995 2009-11-17 07:19:00 Hmm, I was wondering if it would be easier to create a Facebook Group. As the creator, would I be able to delete posts/messages left by disgruntled/mischievous posters?

Thanks

John.

830996 2009-11-17 07:25:00 Invision free is really good. Or Invision pro is even better. I host my own clans here...

galactic-imperium.com

Really easy to use. Easy to get skins. Once set up, it's easy. =D

Does Facebook Group allow the implementation of spam control? As soon as you enable anonymous posting, I'm sure spam bots around the world will add your group to their spam list.

My thoughts :)
