| 714155 | 2008-10-23 17:47:00 | Any way yet to delete spam automatically in Gmail? This morning I went through my usual daily ritual of cleaning all spam folders of all my email accounts and just wondered. I wonder if the spammers know that to send me a spam message that says "Hear her moan" does nothing for me, as I hear that all the time (Not, lol) sarel |

Perhaps not as important for me, as only a couple of people know my gmail address, given to them for use if they ever have a problem reaching me elsewhere. However it is still annoying. Msn hotmail does a better job of filtering spam mail than xtra/yahoo. |

Which in plain english means you have to allow only the people you want to receive mail from through other wise the mail gets dumped Authentication, for everyone Many webmail services support a single authentication system to verify senders and help identify forged messages. Gmail supports multiple authentication systems, including SPF (Sender Policy Framework), DomainKeys, and DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail), so we can be more certain that your mail is from who it says it's from. Also, unlike many other providers that automatically let through all mail from certain senders, making it possible for their messages to bypass spam filters, Gmail puts all senders through the same rigorous checks. |

| 714160 | 2008-10-23 21:39:00 | I use Gmail as my primary email address in conjunction with Outlook 2003 - it is a very rare event (in fact, I can't remember the last time it did) when a spam email sneaks through Gmail's filters into my Inbox. However my Gmail Spam Inbox does get filled up daily - every now and then I go online and have a quick check to see whether any legit mail has been caught - has happened a couple of times, but when looking at the mail text, I could understand why... I have a couple of other addresses, including one via a well-known ISP whose filters are not as effective as Gmail's.... |

And use something like Poptray And add domains to it. I've got about 60 or so domains I've blacklisted. Havent had spam through Gmail, or my normal email for ages |

Agree with CYaBro It sits in my spam folder and does me no harm and with two clicks it has gone. |
