717510 2008-11-04 21:40:00 Hi there

I have a situation where I need to wear headphones, and the boss has handed me a set that has bluetooth, which makes answering incoming calls much easier, but Ive lost the ability to listen to the radio as per my previous set - non bluetooth and radio only. I relied in the vibrator mode to alert me to incoming calls.

I was wondering if theres a cellphone available that will play FM throgh bluetooth but cut over to the phone when a call comes in.

Thanks in anticipation.

John in Mosgiel.

717511 2008-11-05 00:50:00 As far as I'm aware, nearly all cellphones use the cord for the headphones as the FM aerial, and the radio won't turn on unless something is plugged into the headphone socket.

I don't know how sending the FM signal to BT headphones would go, guess it depends on limitations the manufacturers have decided to put on the phones.

You definitley won't be getting any FM signal with no headphones plugged in though, as there's no aerial.

717512 2008-11-05 00:53:00 I'm pretty sure my Sony Ericsson phone (W950i in this case - no longer available, but I'm sure newer models are no different) will do that, but it uses the remote/headphone cable as the FM aerial, so you still have to have a cable tucked away somewhere... MushHead (10626)

You'll need your own earphone though

You'll need to find a cellphone that has bluetooth with A2DP
