716948 2008-11-03 19:27:00 Watched an interview with Chad Hurley, chief executive and co-founder of You Tube. It was revealed that thirteen hours of video is uploaded to You Tube every minute and that expenses are $1m per day - American dollars, of course.

Seems as though You Tube is reasonably successful, don't you think?

716951 2008-11-03 22:41:00 $1m a day, I actually thought it would have been much more than that.

Think of everything involved, servers, electricity, employment, lawsuits, IMO $1m US a day for YT is pretty damn cheap.

Thats true. Maybe its US$1m for only bandwidth costs. Facebook raised $400m and they're burning through that at an astonishing rates so YouTube's per year running costs must be higher than just $365m.
