| 716770 | 2008-11-03 16:52:00 | I can only talk about Dubai as I stopped there for a while on my travels but this may help. Beware of the law their and obey it,your in their country after all,they dont muck around. The same thing goes with their customs and religion as well,it can get you in trouble if your not carefull. Wear nice clothes not your old anything will do,you can be stopped from going to same malls if you are not dressed nice. ALWAYS be polite and well mannered.-(bad character otherwise). The malls are HUGE and have HEAPS of floors and are made out of marble and polished grainate and have waterfalls and gardens in them.I went to one that was as big as a stadium and took me all day to look at all the shops in it. Dont drop litter. Do not swear,put down others ect. as it shows bad manners/bad behavior and you are a bad character not to do business with or to know as a friend etc. They have compounds were foreigns live,and you can live and do like you do in the West,BUT it stays there in the compound.-(Sunbathing,drinking inside your apartment on the quite). Air conditioning in every building/homes,very clean and nice in the capital. Things can be expensive if your not making good money. I enjoyed Dubai and I would go back again if I had the chance/money again.:) Anyway that was what I found in Dubai,different country from Qatar but it may of been of interest/help to you.:) |
