I mentioned some time ago that I wanted a soundbar for my el-cheapo Veon TV. So I got it yesterday, a matching Veon brand 2.1 setup. Man, what a difference! It has a basic equaliser which has just three options; Normal, News and Music which all work ideally. News gives a bit of extra treble which is good for dialogue in movies etc, and the Music option is great for music dvd's which boosts the bass. Its quite a powerful system with 30w for the two bar speakers, and 60w for the subwoofer. It includes hdmi connection too, and can be paired with bluetooth devices to play just music. All in all great for just $200 from The Warehouse.
Except... its faulty. It gives off a loudish low-frequency hum audible below anything about half volume, which, after speaking with Warehouse's helpdesk tech guy, indicates the unit needs to be replaced. So I'll get that done tomorrow and see what happens. An inconvenience of course, but if/when its sorted I'll be more than happy with my choice. |
