1445815 2018-02-01 22:29:00 My wife edits a club newsletter in Publisher 2010, and frequently uses clip art. On trying to do the same yesterday, she was faced with a message saying "Clip art has been retired", and suggesting searching using Bing to find what you want. I recall that about 20 years ago, in the office that I was working in someone had a DVD (or CD) full of clip art. Does anyone know if such a thing is available now? Brucem (8688)
1445816 2018-02-02 00:38:00 Brucem - I also use Publisher 2010 to produce a Club Newsletter. The Clip-art is quite reduced, but I am still able to use this as of this minute ie it hasn't been retired for me yet. It did send me scurrying to the cupboard to look for a disc of clip-art, but alas the disc has long since gone.

It is worth looking on-line. Quite a lot of sites want money, but I see there is the odd one with free clip art. Worth a look.

1445817 2018-02-02 00:38:00 If you google clip art you seriously get more results than you could possibly look through, having a local collection seems unnecessary. Probably what MS decided too.
Even Bing probably finds a couple. You could just start collecting your own selection as you find them.

Then there's sites like this one http://clipart-library.com/

they used to be in deadtree format :-)
And not cheap for the multi volume/books (20 books, plus yearly editions) . Only to be chucked out after 5-10 years or so .

1445820 2018-02-02 06:13:00 or pop into your local charity shop as most of them seem to have the cds with a 10,000 clip art gifs, jpegs etc on them
I have just had a hunt around but i can't find any of mine, otherwise depending on how often your library updates its books, a lot of the older "learn to publish" desk top publishing books came with a lcd full of clipart and fonts

1445821 2018-02-02 06:29:00 Have you actually looked at all your old disks with your file browser, i just checked an old MSWorks disk and viewed in file explorer it had a rather large clipart folder in it. Morgenmuffel (187)
