1445798 2018-02-01 21:36:00 Approx Jan 1st windows did an update and created windows.old.
Did a Google & founds heaps of ways to delete it, tried them all, more or less, but it still there.
Can someone please give me an easy fix?
Thanks,

1445799 2018-02-01 23:58:00 Desktop bottom Left, R click & select RUN. Type in cleanmgr.exe and enter. Follow the prompts and when you get to the screen that shows Clean up system files, select that. It will take a little while but it will clean out Windows.old. Make sure you tick the check boxes. Bryan (147)

1445801 2018-02-02 03:29:00 What is in the folder? Is it just some small residue that won't delete or is it the multi GB deal?

The last couple of Insider releases left a residue on my machine but I del the folder by running cmd as admin then from the root directory (C:) I use the command rd /s windows.old

1445807 2018-02-02 04:17:00 No, please read what I posted carefully.

Search for cmd, right click on the result, click on run as administrator.
Or
Find it in list of programs, right click on it etc.
