| 1445737 | 2018-01-31 01:22:00 | A few people may have noticed there was no Monday Laughs this week. Given what seems to me increasingly political content and biased opinion in this forum, I feel that content and bias is at odds with my credo "I have very high hopes that seriousness is a reversible condition". The two are opposites with no middle ground. Except for the support of a handful of people who took the time to contribute and participate, Monday Laughs started to become to me a less than enjoyable weekly chore. As has the daily Happy Birthday post, where only a small number ever respond to their well wishers. With the fun gone out of it, there's nothing in it for me. So, thanks to the few for what support I have received, and their participation. :) So cheers, and adieu! |

| 1445745 | 2018-01-31 23:59:00 | I found Monday Laughs essential for my well-being, especially after my husband died a few years ago. I later found an article in Mind Magazine (an off-shoot of Scientific American), that told me that the person who you fall in love with is the one who makes you laugh! I wholeheartedly agree with that, but in second place of importance for me was Monday Laughs. So much so, that I unashamedly plagiarized the jokes often in my Club Newsletter. We all will be poorer for the absence of Monday Laughs - both from BillyT and more recently WalOne. |
