There is a calculator you know, just tick No Benefit at all, and enter details. www.workingforfamilies.govt.nz Now if I enter a friend, she pays $350 a week on her mortgage, plus rates, insurance all the usual... She qualifies for $45 AS. She is on a Supported Living benefit. If I enter us, I pay $751 a fortnight mortgage, it says I could get $125. Seems to be the maximum with no kids and my area. If I change me to Southland, the amount goes down heaps....with same financial s.... I f I change me to only 1 of us left...it goes down to $50. It's nonsense. It's spin by the govt. You know that increase the govt says its doing soon? Well people on Temporary Support (which by the way is calculated on rent/mortgage, Rates and House only insurance, and absolutely nothing else), they get that decreased by the same amount the AS goes up. net result -$0. Increases by landlords? makes no difference at all to the person renting. They're stuck with it, Winz sure do not increase As's....	piroska (17583)
