1446621 2018-02-25 00:43:00 Give it a rest Nick. Believe whatever you like but you are wasting your time if you think you can convert everyone else to your particular religion. CliveM (6007)

There you go again Clive, confusing religion with science, can't be long before you are in the dementia ward, I reckon. :) (Or maybe you are already there?)

:) It is not me that is confused Dave. If it comes to that religion and science have been and still are confused by many people both throughout history and today. (If I am ever near the dementia ward I will look you up and say hello :) )

1446624 2018-02-25 18:17:00 Science remains science even when someone like you chooses not to agree with its conclusions, Clive.
It is you who espouses a quasi-religion, along with your pal B.M.
Hopefully this clears up some of your foggy consciousness. :)

1446625 2018-02-25 20:07:00 science = religion
both riddled with dogma and refusal to accept differing views that are based on evidence

both ignore evidence/facts/theories that do not fit their belief/bias

just look at the history of science . Academics refusing to accept new theories and refusing to accept proof of new theories
Science has a long history of tweeking data/theories to suit false beliefs (famously Einstein for one)

1446626 2018-02-25 20:45:00 The irony of this science is that the very same Pseudo Scientists that support this Global Warming/Carbon Dioxide nonsense actually proved themselves wrong (and did the unthinkable in the Science World) and fudged the findings, which in turn meant they couldn’t release their findings for Peer Review .

At the moment these guys are surviving on Ego and Arrogance .

As for the Religion .

I have no qualms about people being religious as long as they don’t try and make it compulsory .

Given we aren’t arguing Science we must be arguing Religion .

Now, that’s OK if those of a Faith support their own Faith by donating 10% or more of their income to the Church . However, I draw the line at having to do likewise and that is what is proposed here .

The Taxpayers of New Zealand are expected to stump up $1 . 4 BILLION every year for the next 10 years with no tangible benefits .

I can think of many ways to spend $1 . 4 Billion that doesn’t include supporting a bunch of Con-men!

I’m sure the Health and Hospital Sector could use the money more wisely than giving it to a Crank Religion .

1446627 2018-02-25 22:07:00 Going to elaborate on post #11 and explain exactly what you meant? Nick G (16709)
1446628 2018-02-25 22:54:00 "They all confirm the original hockey stick conclusion: the 20th century is the warmest in the last 1000 years and that warming was most dramatic after 1920."

Ok, but so what .
Earth used to be warm enough that there were no polar caps, and lush vegetation instead .
Of course sea life around the equator died off during that time, or simply moved towards the poles .
The UK used to be considerably warmer than it is now .
It'll get warm. positives & negatives depending on where you live.

Carbon tax wont solve anything .
Get rid of all our farmland (and cattle ) and convert it back to forests, if serious about reducing climate change . But that will never happen . Its all talk .
