2018-02-05 22:29:00 | I think it's a matter of getting to trust the system. I find now the convenience of just telling the phone GPS where you want to go is great; once you trust the system, there's no need to look at the display at all. Agreed, I don't like to take my eyes off the road and find the directions really good. The best way to get used to it is to drive on routes you know well, while listening to directions. Once you are comfortable with it the worlds your limit.

2018-03-06 21:24:00 | I used car home ultra App, really at it's core was Google maps. I think for most of these dashboard apps link to Google maps. Waze is actually owned by Google (1 Billion dollar purchase supposedly).Coming from Piha, I missed the new Lynn turn, because I was messing about about with the App. So ended up in Henderson valley?(road) adding 10 mins to get back to South Auckland. Then stuck in busy traffic in unfamiliar region. The Apps have voice instructions - but I don't think you can add your own - e.g. 1. to tell you of a preset turn off/direction that you can input. 2. Also to voice over pending traffic delays... I went back to Google Driving /Google Maps...

2018-03-07 17:50:00 | Google Drive works perfectly well for me. It is free, up to date and quickly gives alternative routes should there be an accident or congestion ahead. I discovered several new routes across Auckland when using it while doing daily visits to Ak Hospital at various times of the day a year ago. | CliveM (6007) | |
2018-03-07 19:26:00 | Yes, I know that Google Drive works well but it can't be linked to the car's head unit. You need a third party App to link it. Android Auto does exactly that; it's linking Google Drive to the head unit.

2018-03-07 22:02:00 | About time they got to a universal Nav system as most vehicles in the last few years had mapping systems that the Dealers were charging $500 and upward to get the latest Map software The advantage of Android Auto is the mapping is always up to date but you need a newer vehicle that is compatible www.android.com Always get a 2 Din GPS system added that can run Android Auto
