Last Aerial I made I cut down an old VHF TV aerial and reused the parts, they are everywhere and no use for much these days. Yeah, I threw one out when we sold the last house. None of the sections would have been long enough & they were too thick for what I want. |

I can get 2mm aluminium at M10, although 3mm would be better. Probably go that way if I can't find any copper. It's not much lower on the conductivity scale. |

| 1445637 | 2018-01-29 09:07:00 | From memory gas welding rods would too short. tig rods are 1m long and in 2.4mm or 3.2mm diameter. can get copper coated steel which may be ok for high frequency, other use the aluminum filler rods. |
