| 1444734 | 2018-01-11 23:58:00 | I don't think this is confined to Canon a previous HP Printer did the same. How else do they make their money as they practically give the printers away. Canon in general, waste more ink than most others , by a huuuuuge margin . So bad I threw mine in the trash even though it was 2 years old & still working . Consumer magazine tested ink wasted on quite a few (then) current printers , the differences were an eye opener . I bought a replacement inkjet printer that had very low ink wastage based on those tests Leaving it on didnt/doesnt help if it hasnt printed for a week or so it may spend 2 minutes cleaning (wasting ink) before printing your single page. I went from Canon to Epsom . The Epson's inks lasted 9+ months on the original low capacity ink carts, plus my newer Epson prints almost instantly rather than waiting 2 minutes that the canon used to take in cleaning before printing. Canon inkjets didnt used to be this bad in years past, Ive owned a few over the past 15 years. Never again. |

| 1444735 | 2018-01-12 03:50:00 | Why must it have 5 inks? The colours plus black is enough. Cos I have a LOT of yellow print and a fair amount of Green to do. It is the 2 way" which is very useful for me but hard to come by. Cheers. |

If you print a lot of garden photographs it uses more greens right or if no green cartridge it's a mix of the 2 or so ... and it uses less red for eg.. The more advanced printers for exhibition work comes in 8 or more cartridges. Better quality also. Inkjets can be better quality than lab prints unless you use a pro lab and use their giant inkjets or their more pro printers. |

Unless doing alot of prints , Id rather spend my cash on something cheaper www.foxnews.com You can even get kits to convert inkjets to external large inktanks. If you dont mind the risk of a inktank leaking onto your floor :) |
