1446000 2018-02-07 05:26:00 Hi All
I have finally finished 32 GB of books I got from a Member in the S I. I use Kindle & Kobo to read free ebooks. Unfortunately you cannot read them off line nor download to keep. Is there a book supplier that does that. Not Gutenberg. The locol library does but it is so hard to login. Thanks. PJ

1446001 2018-02-07 06:52:00 I've got a gazillion books given to me by a PressF1 member some time ago. If you're happy to buy and send me a flash drive I'll gladly copy and send them to you. The size is about 14Gb's Greg (193)

1446004 2018-02-07 21:15:00 How are you finding the Kindle/kobo for reading ?

What would you recommend as a e-reader ?
Are the E-Readers usuable(readable) sitting in the sun ?

I'd like to save some money. $25+ per book is a lot of money for a book I may not like or even finish . There seem to be some really cheap E-books

I have a kobo e-reader, husband has a kindle e-reader. This is my second kobo and is also backlit, there is no problem reading in the sun except that I tend to become so relaxed I have been known to fall asleep!
(Rakuten)Kobo comes up with all sorts of bargain offers but like any 'bargain' price you need to buy before the special offer ends. That doesn't worry me as I like to have several loaded. There are a whole lot of cheap books and also free books, a lot of classics and a lot of rubbish but I am sure we all have different tastes. They seem to be having a real push for people to buy the audio books.
If I need another e-reader I would have to think hard whether to buy kobo or kindle. Husband is perfectly happy with his kindle e-reader. Google has a lot of information on the kindle vs kobo question.

1446006 2018-02-07 21:43:00 I have a new Andoid Tablet , is it just a bad idea to use that ?
I presume a real E-reader is easier on the eyes than a tablet & e-reader app ?

The e-readers come in various sizes. Should I get the biggest I can afford, or are the smaller paperback sized readers OK ?

1446007 2018-02-07 22:59:00 I use an Android tablet and find it perfectly fine to read books on. CliveM (6007)
1446008 2018-02-08 01:19:00 I have both and use both to read. I like the tablet but I love the reader.
