1445936	2018-02-04 01:02:00	My friend just bought a 'new' used corolla. The radio headset has got a SD card option to put in a GPS system. I am having a Sygic GPS installed but not too happy with it as the maps update is not free - it costs ~$80. just to update the map. Is there any others with free or cheaper map updates to recommend? Now using Google navigation on my phone, you just say where you want to go and your off,it is excellent, reliable 99.9% of the time, clear, precise instructions, warnings of congestion and accidents ahead etc. Of course you can find shops and services in a given area and it works when you are walking around The old GPs unit is still under the dash, just haven't got around to throwing it out. Now using Google navigation on my phone, you just say where you want to go and your off,it is excellent, reliable 99.9% of the time, clear, precise instructions, warnings of congestion and accidents ahead etc. Of course you can find shops and services in a given area and it works when you are walking around The old GPs unit is still under the dash, just haven't got around to throwing it out. I also use my phone with Google Drive in place of the TomTom GPS which I threw out, Google updates pretty well all the time for free and works at lest as well. Of course Google knows everywhere you go unless you take steps to disable it. Have a look at your Google Maps Timeline sometime.	CliveM (6007)
1445942	2018-02-04 18:46:00	Thanks folks for your suggestions and views. Yes, smartphone's Google navigation is good but the screen is too small when you are driving esp for senior citizens. If it can be display on the bigger radio headset display, it will be nice. I have searched Google but it seems that there's no way to do it.	bk T (215)

I find now the convenience of just telling the phone GPS where you want to go is great; once you trust the system, there's no need to look at the display at all. Of course Google knows everywhere you go unless you take steps to disable it. Have a look at your Google Maps Timeline sometime. There's no such thing as being covert without disabling it. But who's to say just because you can't see the timeline any more, big brother isn't still watching and recording?	WalOne (4202)

I find now the convenience of just telling the phone GPS where you want to go is great; once you trust the system, there's no need to look at the display at all.
