| 1445798 | 2018-02-01 21:36:00 | Approx Jan 1st windows did an update and created windows.old. Did a Google & founds heaps of ways to delete it, tried them all, more or less, but it still there. Can someone please give me an easy fix? Thanks, Ian |

Follow the prompts and when you get to the screen that shows Clean up system files, select that. It will take a little while but it will clean out Windows.old. The last couple of Insider releases left a residue on my machine but I del the folder by running cmd as admin then from the root directory (C:) I use the command rd /s windows.old |
