1444856 2018-01-15 21:58:00 I have a 120 GB SSD C drive with 111 GB's full but when I go into the C drive to see how many GB's it's 81 GB's? Windows has 47 GB and Users has 25 GB and I took a look at the data but I can't figure out what to do but I don't think my C drive should be this full and I'm the only one using the computer and I have had it for 3 years so any suggestions? lostsoul62 (16011)

120G just isnt big enough for so many PC/laptop users . Thats quite common with small SSD's
You also may have multiple partitions wasting space (Ive seen up to 5)

clutching at straws here ... :)
run disk cleanup , CCleaner , look for any Win.old , move photos, movies etc off the HD

Install WinDirStat , it will show you whats taking up all the HD space
You really need to consider installing a bigger SSD .

1444858 2018-01-15 22:25:00 Could be hidden system files like the swap and hibernation files taking up the extra space. You could turn off hibernation, run Ccleaner to clean out trash, delete old windows restore points and other files like the windows.old dir if you have one (use system cleanup don't just try to delete it). Go through your add remove programs list and uninstall any software you no longer want. Or just buy a bigger hard drive.

I find 120gb plenty on PCs that have a separate data drive and no large game installs on the C: drive but when it's the only drive it is a bit small and difficult to manage. All comes down to personal usage though, my gaming PC has a 512 gb SSD and it's getting full where my media PC has a 120gb SSD and is only using 64gb of space

Let me correct that: 120G just isnt big enough for so many 'Windows based' PC/laptop users .

Don't leave Documents on it for example, cut and paste to another drive.........
And yes, Windirstat is extremely useful, it will show whats taking up the most space.

1444860 2018-01-15 23:53:00 If your SSD came with software to monitor it see what Over-Provisioning is set at

This would cut your space down,SSD's need this to extend it'd lifespan
