| 1485731 | 2022-04-21 06:14:00 | Hello I got the k401U from my sister who got it in late 2017 and never used it. The battery is dead but it powers up ok and I updated it. But it keeps losing the wifi every 10 minutes or so. Switching wifi on and off on the desktop enables it again but it happens again. Drivers are updated. I tried the setting to not allow wifi to "sleep" All other devices here work fine, it's just this. We have the vodafone "wall to wall" internet. |

Open device manager from Start menu. b. Expand network adapters. c. Right click on the wireless network adapter component and click on properties. d. Switch to the Power Management tab. e. Click to clear "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" f. Save changes and then close device manager. |

| 1485735 | 2022-04-21 11:05:00 | Could be faulty drivers. Saying they are upto date means nothing really, just means if they are at fault they are faulty updates. Keeping the original drivers ( if faulty) and updating means the problem is still there. What you can try is completely removing the connection & Drivers, From device manager and reinstalling fresh drivers. Since going by the date 2017 it should be Windows 10, which BTW is that fully updated ?? It should be 21H2 (19044.1645) Possibly the Scan Valid Interval is also incorrect -- have a read ttcshelbyville.wordpress.com |

There should be an indicator light which you can see going on and off on the desktop or a LED on the laptop somewhere as you toggle the switch. |
