However when I have a potential bill for several thousand dollars on the horizon I think it is better to hold off for a bit. |

Can't be bothered these day buying the bits and putting it together so will most likely buy another upgrade box and load Windows. I need to have an internal DVD drive so finding prebuilt with Window with one seems impossible and PB tech only really have two upgrade boxes with the space for one. | paulw (1826) | ||

However when I have a potential bill for several thousand dollars on the horizon I think it is better to hold off for a bit. I used to upgrade every second year when I was gaming. Now, I thought I'd wait for a problem before doing the big 3 - motherboard, CPU, RAM. It's now 12 years and I haven't had a problem yet. Not even with the BIOS battery. So still holding off on mine. I did change GPU 3 years ago (bought used) I have 16GB of DDR3 - still. |

Because Im cheap . 50% of the time that bites me in the bum, weird intermittenet issues on my recently bought used parts . When will I learn . I guess if a recent generation motherboard was running perfectly , no one would be selling it used on trademe . :( |

Got Ram/M2 Drive (both new) at a good sale price and already had a low end GPU (EVGA 750ti) Built for 2/3rds the price, probably building a high end system this way would not happen |
