1485455 2022-04-10 13:42:00 I have been trying to install Chromium instead of Chrome but it will not synchronise my settings. After logged in it opens a blank page. Never had that problem before. I have re-installed it but no change. mzee (3324)

And why Chromium....it's the same code except Updates must be manually downloaded and installed. No built-in support for media codecs.

The latest version of Chrome is a disaster and keeps on replacing itself. With Chromium I can remove the update from the list. Always before, I have been able to log in, then sync my settings from Google (Bookmarks, Passwords, extensions, etc). Normally I just select bookmarks, passwords, & extensions, then Confirm. As soon as I log in, a blank page comes up and then nothing. I have noticed that the new Chromium is the same version (100....) as the offending Chrome one is.

Where about would any data on the Chromium browser be kept in Linux Cinnamon 20.3? I tried installing the same Chromium to another computer, also on Cinnamon 20.3 and had no problems. Strange!!
