718643 2008-11-08 07:56:00 Hi folks,
Just looking at a cordless home phone from Siemens.
Telecom has the SL375 but at double the price of buying from Australia.
Are there any compatibility issues buying overseas these days?

While Im there, Siemens website has the Gigaset SL785, which I'd like if there were no connection issues, so wondering about even further afield...

Couldn't get any info from Telecom, so thought Id ask where the brains are!
Thanks

718644 2008-11-08 11:16:00 The phones from OZ would be compatible power-wise (same as NZ, 230v-ish, 50Hz, same three pin plug) but their telephone network can use different plugs/sockets (www.accesscomms.com.au) (may need adapters), those problems would be worse further afield.
Wouldn't have Telecom NZ's tick of approval either .

Cheers. :)
