717978 2008-11-05 22:15:00 My Daughter wanted me to D/L a song off iTunes Store for her, the one from a heap of singers supporting Breast Cancer.

I Purchased and Downloaded as usual then put it on her Computer and she loads it up on iTunes on her PC and it asks for Authorising the Computer and a Password.

I can put the Song on 3 PC's it says but if I give her the Password to play it then I assume she could just download anything from the iTunes store via her iTunes software, which could over time hit my Visa Card fairly heavily:-).

It is only me that currently has an iPod Touch.

Apart from hacking the DRM out of it is there any way around it not asking for the password each time to play it?

717979 2008-11-05 22:26:00 You should be able to tell the program to remember the password - You can actually have 5 Devices Authorized - When Ever I have purchased Music or movies, it asks the very first time to about Authorizing - put in the user name and password once and that's it - never asks again.

I had to reset all the devices a few months back as I had changed/replaced some went into my account settings on Itunes, de-authorized every thing - then Authorized the ones I wanted again.

717980 2008-11-05 23:34:00 Why not burn it to a CD them rip it in as a MP3.. paulw (1826)
717981 2008-11-05 23:55:00 Wainui if I set it to remember does that mean that that PC can just d/l from Apples Store?

paul Yes I am tempted to do that. This authorising the computer and putting in passwords to play a song is taking this protection crap a bit far imho.
