718868 2008-11-10 00:13:00 We have to give Key a go,to be fair,but I think he might be a waffler.

There a certain amount of nincompoops who listen to the greenies and believe them, mostly due to fear.

718869 2008-11-10 00:57:00 banning conventional light bulbs.

That is a fairly trivial thing for a Govt to be worrying about. I would guess they have a lot bigger things on their mind than a light bulb.

Maybe Education, Health, Financial state of the country, Infrastructure just might be a little higher on the list than a light bulb.

718871 2008-11-10 01:00:00 Interesting how much ruder and more insulting the people who voted for national are

Thats just because National has won the elections and the people who voted labour have crinkle cut faces and wasted their vote.
No need to insult National voters by saying they are ruder.

718873 2008-11-10 03:10:00 Just heard on the news that all the bottomless pits (Mayors of Dorkland) are lining up to shake Key's hand and hoping to come away with gold . They believe (according to the news that is) that because Key lives up there, their pet projects will get a leg up .

Is there no end to the greed of Auckland? I look forward to seeing which way Key will jump - will he be PM of NZ or Auckland?

I suppose the next few weeks will see all the chaps lining up to press the Key/English flesh and try to get their sector interests fed by taxpayer dollars . If National's election promises were genuine, there may be a few disappointed people around in the coming months . The Auck mayors are indecently quick in trying it on . . . IMHO that is . . .
