718849 2008-11-09 08:20:00 Good lord - what a range of extremist views being expressed in thi0s thread. Extreme views are often those of immaturity or simple-mindedness, I expect that would be symptomatic of a number of the members of this forum.

The one thing that helen Clark leaves behind is that of belonging to a country that stands proudly by it's principles eg stuff you Bush and your war in Iraq, we don't need to toady up to you like the Howard govt in Australia did.

Regardless of any thing else that makes me feel proud to be a New Zealander. Unlike the desperate pragmatism of past National governments (and likely this one) where principles fly out the window at the first threat to the retention of power.

Oh well, so be it - don't grizzle when your new govt changes the promises and rules to suit themselves. They will - just look to their track record of the past - that is if you're old enough to remember.

Pity the principles were wrong then - best part of the day was seeing Chris Trotter's column today, he really has lost the plot but looks like he didn't see it coming. He has the sort of extremist views that made the election result inevitable, and I notice he raved on about smacking but didn't mention such fine legislation as the Electoral Finance Act.

Grab a bucket, stick it under your shower and report back with how many litres per minute you get. Most people whinging about this draft proposal that wasn't Govt. policy don't even get 6lpm as it is.

718852 2008-11-09 09:35:00 Well, we are now led by a "rich prick" as smarmy Cullen so called John Key a while back. If a person can come from a single parent state house and go out and get educated then make his way in the world overseas and end up a "rich prick" I say bloody good. We in NZ will have more chance of making a recovery from the financial mess the world is in with John Key than Cullen, an envious failed school teacher who bribed New Zealanders with their own money for the last 9 years. As for Clark who remains an MP, the poor woman will always have a public service job or such. She has been at the public trough so long, she would be long past starting a business or holding down an 8-5 job. Sad sight! royaloaks (8205)

Did a test about 3 weeks ago. 2 showers in the house. 13 litres per minute each. Beautiful! Only takes 5-6 minutes. Before you get on your high horse and tell me how un green I am, I catch all my rainwater in underground tanks,90,000 litres and I will use it how and when I want. Some of it gets used in my eco friendly septic tank system which after treatment then waters my gardens I will also read the paper and books tonight with bright light bulbs that dont contain mercury, and I did not need some Government fool telling me to plant the 6,000 odd trees I have planted over the last 23 years. Thank God Labour and those looney Greens will have little say in the new Government.
