2008-11-12 22:35:00 | They look and sound awesome. i for one cant stand the subbie burble - sounds like a V8 drowning - and then the ricers make it workse by attaching a 4" big bore exhaust and a blow off valve to "pull tha chiks" the standard exhaust was fine why did ya have to mess with it??

2008-11-12 22:44:00 | Customisation. I met someone a little while ago who bragged about his mate spending $50k upgrading a $500 Holden. He said they were proud that there was nothing else like it on the road. I just shook my head.

2008-11-12 23:22:00 | I want a polo done like that. With NOS if you can help it. On 22" rims. With gas lamps instead of headlights. And carbon fiber A/C vents. That last bit is important. Also, lights, bad music, and so much bass that the car threatens to rattle to bits.

2008-11-12 23:32:00 | Damn those ricers. Pushing our premiums up, making our finance companies fall, crashing into us. And anyway, real cars blow 'em off the line any day.

2008-11-12 23:47:00 | the ricers down here have moved onto toyota hiluxes - flipping the leaf springs over to "SAK IT DOWN AU" and the spend 25K on paint wheels and stereo parts and then get wasted at the lights by a honda city turbo cause their 2.4D hilux cant cope with towing 5 idiots and half a tonne of stereo and paint :angry

2008-11-12 23:55:00 | Never really liked Subaru anyway. A couple of my friends had their own Subarus.....each got theirs stolen within 2 weeks of each other (one got it back after 2 months though). Nothing beats a good V8 with an aftermarket exhaust.....

2008-11-12 23:55:00 | I like really like subies, love the sound, but wouldn't own one unless it was very new, in which case I'd have an evo. :p Have you noticed none of the ricers ever change the oil in their cars either? Can barely see behind them off the lights sometimes.

2008-11-13 00:56:00 | yeah - cause the dipsticks are in the drivers seat trying to look cool a mate of mine used to work at a car shop out my way - some one brought in a Version 3 WRX STi "it idles rough and wont boost" they started it up and straight away you coul hear the big end bearings in their death throes along with everyhitng else packing up so out comes the engine and they pull it it bits and when they pulled the pistons out one had a hole melted through it cause it had leaned out horribly at some stage but there is more! on pulling the 3rd piston out it promptly fell apart into 5 different peices and had scored a big hole in the bore of the block and from the 2 damaged pistons it had acidified the oil which ate the bearings to bits turns out it hadnt had a oil change for 18,000km! makes you want to cry :angry
