| 718395 | 2008-11-07 00:32:00 | Hi Guys and Gals It is just about time for all of us to make a decision on how/who to vote for . Trust, Experience, Left, Right, Green, Religious, Race!! From my perspective, it is time for a change The incumbent government would seem to be well past their use by date and are frantically trying to keep power with a multitude of bribes to self serving minorities with no care for NewZealand as a whole . If there is a change, do I expect the next government to make huge differences? No . What I do want is to see is a new set of thoughts from a new set of people . The incumbents are stale, cynical and contemptuous of any questions to their policies . After 9 years in power, you would expect to see results to better Health, Education . Law & Order and Social Policies . This has not happened . We have seen total disregard of the electorate voice and continuing swing to the “We Know Best” form of government . I am self employed with one employee and am having serious thoughts about closing shop, as constant increases in compliance and employee statutory costs that are slowly strangling my business I can say without fear of contradiction, I put in over twice the hours of my employee for about the same return . So much for the “worker” getting a return . The country has to do well, so employers can employ people who can spend their wages, so taxes can be collected, to give the services that a country needs to operate . Constant handouts and interference to people’s lives only make for an apathetic population . A government that gives everything can take everything away . Think long and intelligently for the good of all . HH |

Helen after years in Parliament has got it down to a tea, hopefully JK will learn from her....... While I cant say I like Helen, I do admire her confidence as PM, its just that she sounds like a farm girl and doesn't dress\look much better. Cullen is my biggest concern, the guy has absolute contempt for anyone else and is so arrogant, I just cant have him cooking the books anymore. I totally agree with much of HH comments, especially the compliance bit.......My Dad is small business and bureaucracy is killing him.. I havent seen any improvement in Health or Crime stats since I returned 5 yrs ago, and the social....well, enough said..... I quite like Rodneys go for it attitude so are in 2 minds concerning party vote, ACT or Nat I think.... |

Rodney stated that if he can get the top 10 list candidates of Act in it will mean the bottom 10 of National out which seems crazy. I would ultimately love to see National go it alone without these minor parties. Bring back FPP in my opinion. |

I run my own business. There will always be compliance requirements if you don't want the law of the jungle. Just live with them. I will be voting for the Greens. |

| 718403 | 2008-11-07 07:10:00 | If in doubt, vote Bill and Ben . :D No . Do not listen to this kid . If you really care about your country, and you are unsure who to give your vote to, or you don't want to vote, please vote for the Maori party . Why? They are going to create an overhang of seats in parliament, which ultimately means more politicians and more wasted money on bureaucracy . If enough people give a throwaway vote to the Maori party, you will be helping your country save money without really affecting the outcome of the election . Please consider it . I know I spout a lot of bull**** on these forums, but for once I'm not joking . Tomorrow, New Zealand, give your party vote to the Maori party! |

| 718404 | 2008-11-07 07:17:00 | I think the Nats will win but the left coalition will take the day. Strategic voting is the only real course. So many people don't understand how MMp works still. For me it'll be party vote ACT,because no matter how many votes the nats get they still need a partner to counteract the loonies- yes I do mean the greens. The best way to protect the environment is to have someone own it, I sure look after my own property, I compost, recycle and am energy efficient in spite of the greens. And if you live in the Rimutaka electorate-nows your chance to rid the world of Winnie-vote for anyone other than Ron Mark. Please ! |
