832732 2009-11-23 08:47:00 Hello Guys

I'm new to disk cloning, I want to clone a bootable XP drive,
I have tried Self Image, didn't have much luck, need to learn more about it (cloning).
Can you guys let me know what you use? and any tips

Thanks Rad

I used to use Ghost 2003 which is good but it has problems with SATA drives.

Acronis True Image is excellent.

832734 2009-11-23 09:27:00 Yea I vote for Acronis, that works wonders. Even though it doesn't always pick up the network card and the mouse sometimes doesn't work :) but other than that its yet to fail me. Not sure about any free programs though. WarNox (8772)

832736 2009-11-23 09:36:00 If you've got same-size HDD's then it's easiest to clone the entire disk, it'll include the partition table :) Chilling_Silence (9)
832737 2009-11-23 17:43:00 Macrium reflect is free although I use true image and run it off the live CD I made from the program, as it is much more stable and quicker than trying to clone within windows gary67 (56)
832738 2009-11-23 19:11:00 I've had best results of late with Acronis, though Ghost and Easeus are worth a look. inphinity (7274)
