1 small tub of yoghurt (plain or berry)
1 vanilla ice-cream slice
1 chopped banana
1/3 cup apricot nectar
1/3 cup milk (your choice)
1 table-spoon liquid honey
1 cup of frozen berries

Blend and enjoy :) :)

You mean you would devour it sometime between the snack you have after lunch and the snack you have before your evening meal?

Ahh. But by putting it all in a blender you will succeed in cutting up all the calories and fat so those bits die off and don't add to your waistline. You're just left with the wonderful flavour ("flavor" for SJ's benefit).

The same logic applies to broken biscuits ("cookies" for SJ's benefit) - when you break a biscuit, all the calories leak out, so they are much healthier and you can safely eat twice as many!! :D

720462 2008-11-16 05:16:00 Sounds very similar to one I used to make, except I used to chuck an egg into mine. You could swap the honey for a tablespoon of strawberry/raspberry jam. It is a bit too much dairy for me nowadays so I do a fruit smoothie instead.

This is a dairy-free smoothie I make semi-regularly:

1 or 2 bananas
1 or 2 apples
1 orange
1 carrot
sometimes 1 kiwifruit
either : grapes or mixed berries or strawberries
1-2 cups of OJ or pineapple juice
plus any other seasonal fruits you fancy

It doesn't actually need a lot of liquid and I don't bother chopping things up any more - just peel it (not the grapes!) and chuck it in.

I like your reasoning Johcar - it's almost on par with my Neighbour's idea that says that you need big pieces of fat on every piece of meat you eat . The fat lubricates the arteries so that nothing sticks to it and silly things like cholesterol just slide down to your *rs* . The fat should also be crispy, because non-crispy fat won't slide the whole way .

Zippity, I tried your smoothie - quite delish they say . Had to replace some of the ingredients though :

1 small tub of berry yoghurt
2 boysenberry ice-cream slices
1 chopped banana
1/3 cup whiskey
1/3 cup milk
1 table-spoon liquid honey
1 cup of frozen berries
and I added 10 sweet white grapes .

SWMBO said it was awesome - a term not used much when I make something .
