| 834099 | 2009-11-27 12:29:00 | Hi. Need some Help. After I reinstalled my XP. When I playing music or video, there is no sound coming out from my pc speakers. What is the problem? How can I fix it? Thanks. |

| 834102 | 2009-11-27 20:25:00 | Some basic things to look at: Go to control panel>sound&audio devices. On the volume tab make sure it's not "muted". Click speaker volume and see that it's not turned all the way down. Next is sound tab... select windows default for sound scheme, then test play items in "program events". On the Audio tab if the default device is "greyed out", this probably indicates a driver issue. If that's the case and there's a exclamation mark alongside the device in Device Manager, then go to the motherboard manufacture's website to download the newest drivers. Start with chipset driver, moving on to others that are applicable. Also the sound cable coming from the sound card should crackle through speakers as you push it in & out at its' jackpoint.. |
