A physical 40 Gig hard drive after formatting will contain less usable space than that. 40 x 1000 is not the same as 40 x 1024 either for that matter. The main thing to do would be to remove files you can do without anyway. |

I know how to get more space than the 500mb that's there... what I want to know is where the other 8.5gb has gone and how to get that back. Thanks for your suggestions. Mike. |
