834430 2009-11-28 11:46:00 Uninstall defender and install microsoft security essentials. Its in the link I posted. Then update it, then do a full scan. Thats right, leave system restore disabled, before you do the above. If it finds anything, remove it, then reboot Speedy Gonzales (78)
834431 2009-11-28 11:53:00 Will Do,but why dont you like windows defender? life (15309)
834432 2009-11-28 11:55:00 Microsoft security essentials supersedes windows defender. And it'll detect more. Speedy Gonzales (78)
834433 2009-11-28 12:01:00 All right, thanks again,i will post the out come of the scan when its over it takes awhile.

834434 2009-11-28 12:08:00 Never tried Bitdefender. I think quite a few people stick with free programs (Avast, MS Security Essentials, AVG (Altho this isnt that good). Or NOD32 ( you have to pay for this). Speedy Gonzales (78)
834435 2009-11-28 12:29:00 Bitdefender also do a free A/V Rescue Boot Disc.
Download the ISO from www.techmixer.com
and burn to disc.
